Sultan Ghari Tomb is considered the first Islamic tomb built in Delhi. The mausoleum was constructed for prince Nasiru’d-Din Mahmud, the eldest son of the third sultan of the Slave dynasty Iltumish in 1231. The Ghari, meaning ‘Cave’, was built in the Malapur village near Vasant Kunj. This is a Persian and oriental architectural style tomb.
